Head lights: types and benefits

Every driver can easily drive a vehicle in day time due to the light of the sun, but it is very hard to drive a vehicle at night time due to the darkness. Problems of darkness have been solved long ago with the help of head lights in vehicles. Headlights are special types of electrical lamps used in front of the vehicle in order to provide driver enough light to drive in darkness. Headlights can illuminate the path or road while driving at nigh time or low visibility. Headlights are basic needs of a vehicle, these lights not only helps a man to drive in darkness but also in other low visibility areas such as precipitation. Low light is one of the main causes of severe accidents in everyday life. Although headlights are present in the vehicles but still it is not easy to locate other things on the road, only things in between the range can be seen by the driver other surroundings cannot be seen clearly by the driver of the vehicle. Headlights illuminate the road so that a driver can easily drive his car or vehicle. Incandescent lights was a common type of headlights used in vehicles a few years back, but in present world with the help of modern technologies and modern technique there are many news types and models of headlights have been made. New models of head lights not only save energy but also provide many other benefits; drivers also have a choice to use headlights of their favorite color.

Some special types of head lights are being used in some special areas, such fog lights are being used in rainy and icy areas, and fog lights can provide a special beam of light without the bouncing back side effect. Incandescent lights are also very common types of lights, although its use is being reduced because these types of lights use much amount of energy and produce very less amount of light as compared to other types of headlights such as Xenon lights or halogen lights. Xenon lights are becoming one of the most common and popular model of headlight in modern world, Xenon lights not only provide a smart and good look to the car but also provide energy efficient and high beam of light. Halogen lights are also very common types of head lights especially in heavy vehicles. Headlight can make 1000 feet area illuminated along the road with the help of its high beam light.
